Due to the way the Riviera Maya has grown and continues to grow (a stretch about 75 miles long, consisting of more or less ten small towns), it is easy to find frequented restaurants on the very popular Quinta Avenida (Fifty Avenue) of Playa del Carmen. You can also head out for a great meal in the laid-back town of Puerto Morelos or even in the up and coming town of Tulum, which is gaining in popularity in terms of its nightlife and unique restaurants.
These factors have made this area known more for its dining venues in luxurious hotels, which normally have world-class chefs and not just one, but several restaurants with excellent dishes. There are also resorts that offer guests exquisite culinary delicacies that put within reach different types of dishes from Mexico and around the world.
